Wild Fabrik

Business operations, technology and commercial scale

Building and scaling an omnichannel operating model

The challenge

Wild Fabrik was created as a multi-brand sustainable marketplace requiring the operating infrastructure to manage a large product catalogue, independent brands, technology, logistics, customer experience and commercial growth.

The business subsequently expanded from e-commerce into physical retail, requiring a genuinely omnichannel operating model.

The work

  • Built the business and operating model from the ground up.
  • Developed the processes and digital infrastructure supporting marketplace operations.
  • Led technology, e-commerce, retail, marketing, partnerships and customer experience.
  • Expanded the business into two physical retail locations.
  • Built the team, accountability structures and evolving ways of working.
  • Integrated consumer assets acquired from another sustainable marketplace.
  • Managed suppliers, partners and resources within the constraints of an entrepreneurial business.

$275K+ revenue generated in the final two years

The outcome

A scalable omnichannel operating foundation connecting digital and physical retail operations.

  • Reviewed and redesigned core operating processes.
  • Developed SOPs and clearer ways of working.
  • Strengthened cost and stock controls.
  • Improved systems supporting day-to-day restaurant operations.
  • Worked across team operations, customer acquisition and commercial activity.
  • Connected operational improvements with marketing and visibility initiatives.

04

Building a restaurant operating model before launch

For Matter by iCoffee, Gergana developed the operational foundation required for opening, including SOPs, process flows, kitchen operations, manpower planning, recruitment, staff training, menu development and supplier sourcing.

The restaurant launched with a trained team and established operating procedures.

05

International programme and event delivery

Gergana has supported major international football programmes across three stakeholder environments: FIFA Club World Cup 2009 — representing Al Jazira FC’s venue-side delivery requirements at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium; FIFA Club World Cup 2010 — working from the FIFA Local Organising Committee side; and the FIFA U-17 World Cup — working directly for FIFA.
